2021 Season Campaign
The Seminoles and Bulldogs did not play in the 2021 Fall season. During Taylor’s 2021 Spring game against Madison County, a fight broke out that lead to a multi-game suspension for the Bulldogs and the bulk of its players were suspended by the FHSAA and 18 either left or quit the program (11 juniors, seven seniors). Sophomore quarterback Rhyan Hamilton (2025) “threw for over 250 yards in five games last season as a freshman starter in the backfield. Taylor County returns a bulk of its receiving core and three of its top five rushers, who all posted over 100 yards in the five-game stretch.”1
Taylor’s top rusher from 2021 was Jer’quon Clayton (2023), who rushed for 382 yards on 59 rushes. Jer’quon was also the touchdown leader with 7.
Returning defensive standouts from 2021 include cornerback Caden Collier (2025), who was number two on the tackles per game chart with 8. He also had 2 interceptions.
2022 Season Campaign
Taylor starts the 2022 season with wins against 0-2 Fort White (1R Region 3) 22-17 and 1-1 Lafayette (1R Region 3). With one game of statistics logged, Rhyan Hamilton has one touchdown and 50 passing yards. The leading rusher is Jer’quon Clayton, who has 92 yards off of 15 carries and one touchdown. Caden Collier is averaging 17 yards rushing per carry with 69 total yards off of 4 carries. Clayton also play middle linebacker and is the teams leading tackler with 11.
