Touchdown Club Scouting Report

In January, Corey Fuller announced that he was resigning from the head coaching position to pursue a job a Florida State. His exit led to a handful of assistant and positional coaching exits, along with player transfers. In March, Gadsden County announced defensive coach Victor Winters had been named the next head coach.1

Cedric Byrd: Senior, RB/DB: 614 rushing yards, 68.2 rushing yards per game, three rushing touchdowns.
TayMarius Clemons: Senior, LB: 57 tackles, 27 solo tackles, 10 sacks, one interception, one fumble recovery.
Daveion Harley: Senior, OL: 91 percent grade, 43 knockdowns
Josaiah Knight: Junior, DE/OLB: 49 tackles, 18 solo tackles, five sacks

With stats reported for the first two games of the season, the Tallahassee Democrat’s predictions have held true. Cedric Byrd (2023) is currently ranked second among rushers in 2S District 3 with 216 rushing yards. He also ranks number 3 in the total yards category with 223. He is currently the only Jaguars player to score a touchdown in 2022.

Quarterback Shawnterris Thomas (2025) comes will arrive at Mike Hickman Stadium with three games under his belt. In the first two games of the season, he had 15 pass completions on 28 attempts for 137 yards. He tends to stay in the pocket having only 6 yards off one rush this season.

Gadsden’s leading receiver through two games is Nasir Williams (2024). Williams currently has 10 receptions for 101 yards and no touchdowns. Like Thomas, Williams does not appear on any of the 2021 Jaguars stat charts.

Of the Democrat’s defensive players to watch, only Daveion Harley appears as a stat leader, although be it at the bottom of the charts. He has one tackle and one sack. The Jaguars’ leading tacklers after two games are Kaleb Barnes (2023), who has 7 tackles, and defensive back Saivion Kenon (2025) who has 5 tackles.
