Coach Kevin Helms – Defensive Backs
Coach Helms has been with the Florida State University Schools football program since 2003. He grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and graduated from Chiles High School where he played defensive back and quarterback for both Mike Hickman and Jarrod Hickman. He was also a member of weightlifting team twice advancing to the State Tournament. Coach Helms has a bachelor’s degree in Math Ed. and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from FSU. Coach Helms taught Algebra 1 & 2 at Florida High for 10 years before becoming the Dean of Students for High School. During the time that Coach Helms has been the Defensive Backs Coach at Florida High, more than 30 DBs have gone on to play college football and 4 have become professionals. Everyday Coach Helms works to help students become the best version of themselves. (Pictured front row first from left.)

Matt Wheeler – Offensive Line/Strength Coach
Coach Matt Wheeler is entering his 13th season coaching football at Florida High. He is from Miami, and played defensive back at Miami Springs Senior High. Coach Wheeler attended Florida State University and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Physical Education. He taught English at Florida High for 6 years and currently teaches Middle School PE and is also the Head Weightlifting Coach. Coach Wheeler’s wife has been teaching math for 13 years and is currently at RAA Middle School. They have 2 dogs, Penny and Pepper and a 6 month old daughter, Magnolia Elizabeth Wheeler. Coach Carlos Williams – Wide Receivers
Coach Carlos Williams is now coaching in his 2nd season at Florida High. He is a Florida High alumnus (c/o 2016) where he played football. Coach Williams graduated from the University of West Florida in the spring of 2020 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Sports Psychology and is planning to enroll in graduate school for Sports Psychology soon. Right now he works as a Teaching Assistant at Florida High. (Pictured front row fifth from left)

Coach Falstrom
Coach Brian Falstrom has been coaching for 12 years and 7 years at Florida High. Falstrom has a passion for Coaching and shaping kids into Young Men. (Pictured back row first from left)

Coach John Metz – Linebackers
Coach Metz played in the Florida High program as a Defensive End from 2006-2009 and was a member of the winningest senior class in school history. Coach Metz previously coached 7 seasons with the Middle School program and is in his 3rd year with the High School. (Pictured back row second from left)

Coach Julius Harley – Defensive Coordinator
Coach Harley has been with the football program for over ten years, and has been the Defensive Coordinator for over ten years. He is from Tallahassee, Florida where he attended Amos P. Godby High School. Julius was a varsity letterman in football, weight lifting and wrestling. He went on to play college football at Alabama State University. Coach Harley is married to Gwen Harley and the proud father of Jaydan Harley and Queen Hudson. (Pictured back row third from left.)

Coach Wilson – Defensive Line
Coach Wilson is a 7th year football coach with Florida High. He graduated from Florida High where he attended all 13 years. Coach Wilson was an All-State athlete in multiple sports before earning a full athletic scholarship to the University of Cincinnati. He has been involved in coaching for over 13 years. Coach Wilson and wife, Elicia Wilson, have 2 children currently attending Florida High. (Pictured back row fourth from left.)

Coach Jason Kelley
Coach Kelly, born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida and graduated from Amos P. Godby High School. He has played two years of semi-pro football in Tallahassee and coached for the same team for 1 year. He focuses on building the character of young adults for a stronger future. He is a graphic designer and loves bass fishing.Has been Coaching at Florida High for 6 years. (Not pictured)

Coach Conrad (Sonny) Bishop – Offensive Line 
Coach Bishop is a volunteer offensive line coach at Florida High. Coach Bishop played four years of varsity football, three years of varsity basketball, and three years of varsity baseball at Taylor County High School from 1980 to 1984, earning all state honors in football his junior year and senior year, as well as, in baseball his junior year. Coach Bishop went on to play college football at Vanderbilt University and ultimately earned his law degree from Mercer University in 1991. He has practiced law in Perry since that time with his father, Conrad C. Bishop, Jr. (Not pictured)

David Walls – Football Athletic Trainer 
Education: M.ED. Health Education, B.S. Physical Education and Athletic Training 
Certifications: National Athletic Trainer’s Assoc., Board of Athletic Training State of Fla., Professional Rescuer American Red Cross, Graston Technique Soft Tissue Mobilization (August 2010) Mr. Walls has worked as a Seasonal Athletic Trainer for the Indianapolis Colts, the Head Athletic Trainer for the Men and Women’s Track Team at Pennsylvania State Univ., a Clinical Athletic Trainer with TOC and at FSU as the Assistant Football Athletic Trainer. He has now brought his experience and expertise to the Florida High Seminoles as our Head Athletic Trainer. Mr. Walls provides day to day support for our players at each practice and game. Mr. Walls also teaches Science at Florida High. (Not pictured)
